Looking for small dogs! ....
Great, whatever you're interest, pull up a chair, get yourself a refreshing drink and join us in our world of small dogs. We're here because we love animals. We have spent many years caring for and loving our small dogs (big dogs too!) and we'd love to share some of our family and experiences with you.
You've probably already visited a number of dog related sites by now and maybe you're head is spinning around just a little bit. I know that's how we felt when we decided to get our first small dog. It's amazing how many different types of dogs are out there. Different personalities, grooming needs, energy levels, good with children, hypoallergenic, and the list goes on and on.
Our goal and mission for this site is simply to provide a warm, friendly, informative, site about common every day small dogs for the common every day people who love, care and provide for them.
Our "Small Breed Dogs " page list (with pictures) and summarize many of the small breeds recognized by the major kennel clubs today. Although a good place to start your search please don't be fooled or mislead into thinking these dogs are your only option.
There are literally hundreds of thousands and small dogs out there today without a home just waiting for someone like you to give them a warm, loving home. They may not all be purebred dogs or have perfect colors and markings but they all do have purebred hearts and perfect love to give to someone who is willing to give them a chance.
Before you make a decision, please check out our "Rescue and Adoption" page. You may just come away with a different point of view, or maybe you have some thoughts, ideas or a story that can help someone else. We would love to hear from you and I'm sure other visitors would also.
So, that's what this site is all about, sprinkling a little "TLC" and personal life experiences around, some of ours and hopefully a little of yours too. People helping people, Who knows, maybe you or I, or both of us will make a new friend or two along the way.

Do you have the cutest, smartest, funniest, craziest or most wacky dog on the planet? Here's you chance to show the world - you now have full "bragging" rights. We would love to hear from you and I'm sure our visitors would also. |
A number of years ago, when we decided to get a small dog, we spent several weeks researching and surfing the internet, trying to find the perfect dog to fit our lifestyle. At the time we had small children and a gentle, lovable German Shepherd. We (my wife and I) wanted a dog that would be good with kids and get along well with other pets. We finally settled on the Pomeranian breed. Best decision we could have made! That was quite a few years ago. My kids are grown and have lives of their own. Our dogs are our family now, we currently have 3 German Shepherds and 4 Pomeranians. They all get along with each other (most of the time) and we love and cherish every one of them. While the pomeranian worked out to be the perfect small dog for us, only you can decide which dog is the right one for you. |
